The overall look of the film should sample from 50’s/60’s Space Age/Mid Century architecture, furniture, and colors while being situated in the 80’s. The color pallet may have moments of brightness but mainly materials and textures are washed out and weathered, especially in Winston’s apartment. This balance between different time periods is not only a nod to the previous two films but presents a stylized futuristic look to a story line that is situated 34 years prior to today.
